Temporary Lapse of Sanity

I just shared a big bowl of fresh strawberries and grapes with Aeralyn. We also shared the same spoon. Somehow, I seemed to forget that she has the flu.
Gee, that was a bright move.
Also, my kid doesn’t like strawberries. Yes, STRAWBERRIES! And they were good and sweet too. Who seriously doesn’t like strawberries?!
Oh yes, I forgot. Her father also doesn’t like strawberries. Unless they are peeled. It must be hereditary.

That is the funniest thing i have ever heard of-peeled strawberrries! really how exactly do you peel a strawberry. This is why genetics get me all excited-weird traits like this being passed down. who knew!
Uh oh….be prepared then for the flu. Seriously, all it took was for D to sneeze on me once, and I’m down with it for a week. I still don’t feel normal, 5 days later.
Wow…..I love strawberries (although D won’t touch one yet…THE TEXTURE! THE TEXTURE! HEAVEN FORBID!) Maybe she’ll come around if you keep offering them to her.
I’m onboard with Gayla! First of all….peeled strawberries? I don’t even want to TRY to do that. And the genetics as well. Its so interesting how everything from how we look to how we heal, and even the little stuff, like what we enjoy in our foods is all passed from generation to generation on 46 little cromosomes!
Hey girl, why didn’t you call me to help? I could have stayed at home with her while you went out. I’m just getting over pneumonia and bronchitis so what would the flu hurt? CALL me next time! Love y’all !! Oh yeah, I suggest letting Daddy peel her a bowlful to have the next time y’all snack : )
Seriously? Who doesn’t like strawberries in their whole and yummiest form?
Hope you don’t get the flu! Being a sick Mommy is never any fun!
How do you peel a strawberry?
I can’t even picture it!
